I am directed by Mr. Secretary Henderson to transmit
herewith to be laid before the Secretary of State for the
Colonies copy of a telegram dated 27th March from His Majesty's
Minister in Peking on the subject of the proposed agreement
relating to Hongkong and the Chinese Maritime Customs
Administration together with copy of the draft of a telegram
which, subject to the concurrence of Lord Passfield, it is
proposed to send to Sir Miles Lampson in reply.
